I make lists for everything

Anyone who has ever spoken with me for over 10 minutes will tell you that I make lists for everything. I don't know why I do it...probably so I don't confuse myself in the middle of trying to convince the person/people I am talking to to think the same way as I do on a certain subject. OR it is just because I think it makes my reasoning sound more justified, when in reality it is just annoying everyone around me.

Either way, Paul seems to get a kick out of it so I won't be stopping any time soon.

I am currently looking at a list of things to do (which is actually very long for it only being a Tuesday), but I have decided to blog instead. Procrastination at its finest...

Here is a list of things I have noticed lately:

1. I hate moving. I don't know anyone who enjoys it. Lately I have been helping my friends Eric, Weston, and Drew move into their own place and it is killing my back. Don't get me wrong, I like to help out (and because I own a truck I am partially obligated) but I think I will use today to sleep rather than continue moving. Also, I think every big move should be accompanied by a case of beer. Everyone enjoying a cold beer after moving seems so much better than just sitting there exhausted trying to hold a conversation.

2. Harry Potter's 7th book apparently has a good ending. My mom, brother, and numerous friends have read it and they all seem pretty pleased with it (aka - Harry didn't die and the world will continue turning as we know it). Also, there are a lot of "Potterphiles"* out there. Who knew Danielle Radcliffe was the next big thing?

3. My last day at my job is coming closer and closer and part of me will miss it. No longer will I be able to write my friends on myspace/facebook all day while also writing blogs and watching Youtube videos.

4. My first day at my new job will suck because I cannot do all the aforementioned things. How will I pass the time at work? AND how will I stay up to date with world news, celebrity gossip, random trivia, and recent updates in online profiles??? I guess I will have to live with more responsibility and less online time for a larger paycheck in return.

5. I am a horrible blogger. I read many blogs daily and critique them based on writing ability and humor - this blog would score in the negatives so far...maybe I should work on that.

6. I missed another year of Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival. I have to go to this soon, being an avid guitar player/fan - it just seems too perfect to pass up any longer.

7. The rain has finally stopped and summer can begin! For anyone who doesn't know; Austin has been hit with an outrageous amount of rain this summer and it has felt like October since the end of May. We haven't floated the river or even hit 100 degrees once since summer started and this will finally change! I can't wait.

8. Definitely going to see Bourne Ultimatum this weekend! Also, Superbad comes out August 17th and it looks hilarious. How many people have called themselves "McLovin" in the past few weeks? I bet a lot.

9. 300 AND Hot Fuzz came out on DVD today. I will be getting them both!

Ok, for the only real part of this post - everyone needs to go and buy RooshV's book called Bang. I am getting a copy as soon as I finish writing this - you know you want it! Even if you think you have all the game you need, you should still read this to compare different methods and to see if there is anything else you might have missed.

*Thanks to Christy for the term "Potterphile"

My perception is always a little off...

Normally my friends and I will go out to 6th Street on Thursdays for many $1 and $2 drinks specials every week, and normally something on either Friday or Saturday at someone's house. It is always a lot of fun and we all really get along/enjoy each other's company, and I think I know why. Even though all of us are great friends - we get along so well because most of the time we are together our perception of reality is completely off...

I figured the easiest way to show this was through pictures....here is the difference between what you look like when you are drunk and what you think you look like when you are drunk:

This should give everyone a good view of how most of my friends see me and how I see them between Thursday night and Sunday morning....however incorrect this may be.

I might watch the Emmy's this year...

This just in - "Dick in a Box" has been nominated for and Emmy in the category of "Oustanding Original Music and Lyrics." That is pretty amazing if you ask me.

Right when this clip came out I started sending it to everyone I knew and so did pretty much everyone in the world.

I think it is even still up on my myspace. Wow.

Well, hopefully they will win and come up to accept the award wearing the early 90's "John-B" style of suits and their dicks in a box.

A picture is worth a thousand words...motion pictures must be worth at least a million.

I have seen some really good movies so far this summer! Pirates 3, Die Hard 4, Knocked up, and Transformers(two of my absolute favorites so far)...well, last night Weston, Drew, Jules, Elizabeth, Larissa, Christy, Chuy, and I saw Harry Potter 5 at Alamo and I must admit that it was pretty good. Those actors are growing up really fast - it will be weird when they make the last movie and they are all 25 and the next sex symbols of their generation! With that said; I can't get over the fact that so many girls find Daniel Radcliffe to be "hot." I mean, yeah, he got bigger, some abs, and was naked in a play (thank you Christy for showing me those images which will undoubtedly haunt me for months) - but really, a sex symbol???

Maybe it is just because I still think of him as the 12 year old from the first movie, but it just sounds weird when Christy says things like "I will punish him" or "he can show me his magic wand anytime" during the movie about little Harry Potter.

On another note, though, Emma Watson (the girl who plays Hermione) is going to be smoking hot when she is older! This isn't the same as saying Radcliffe is hot, because it is alluding to the fact that at some point in the distant future when she doesn't look like she is 12 she will be attractive.

Definitely not the same thing.

I do find it odd that she went and saw Radcliffe's play a few times. Once is support, a few is just something else...maybe I should call dibs now before anyone else realizes that she is going to be hot later on. Not to mention her accent...you can't resist someone with a hot accent.

Ok, dibs on Hermione.

A very long weekend!

This weekend seemed like it lasted forever! Maybe it was because I got out of work at 10:30am on Friday (which was amazing, btw)...even though I wasted the entire day only to watch Green Street Hooligans with Chuy, Weston, and Eric. The movie was good, but didn't show enough futbol in my opinion.

Maybe it was because we sat around in the pool all day Saturday wishing we would have floated the river or gone to the Greenbelt.

I am thinking it was mostly likely the party Larissa had at her cousins house wich ended up at 6am with only Larissa, Adam, Ashlie and I awake cleaning up an outrageous amount of vomit off of the bed, dresser, floor, backpack, and comforter. There is actually a video of us doing this - once it is on youtube I will link it. Basically, don't eat 3 entire lasagnas, drink 6 cases of beer, and 2 handles of liquor between 14 people and not expect SOMEONE to get sick. It was a long night to say the least.

BUT - just when I thought it couldn't get worse, I had to help Adam move into his apartment on 2 hours of sleep in 96 degree weather. Actually, it is usually hotter here in Texas this time of year, so it should have been worse.

To put the icing on the cake that was my long weekend was a very disappointing loss by Argentina to Brazil 3-0. I don't know how they did it! Caca and Ronaldinho weren't playing. Messi was playing well. Argentina seemed to have the ball more than Brazil - but it didn't matter. The Copa was won by Brazil again.

At least the weekend is over and I got a full 7 hours of sleep last night.

The question of the week is: Should I watch the LA Galaxy game on Saturday that will be Beckham's first official MLS game, even though I hate the MLS?
Hopefully he will get a PK or two and show everyone why England loves him so much.

Futbol and the Copa America

Last night Argentina beat Mexico in the Copa America 3-0! This puts them in the finals against Brazil on Sunday (which I am sure Chuy and I will be watching while drinking beers somewhere in Austin). Normally this would present a problem being that players that I love such as Ronaldinho, Caca, and Messi all play for either Brazil or Argentina. BUT for some reason Ronaldinho and Caca aren't playing this tournament, which will leave no problems in me rooting for Argentina every step of the way.

If you don't get why this game is such a big deal, just look at the rivalry:
They have played each other 88 times

Argentina won 33

Brazil won 34

Ties: 21

I think this year will be the one where Argentina ties it up at 34 wins each!

Also, the U.S. under 20 team beat Uruguay last night 2-1. I am pretty sure the U.S. will be playing Mexico in the Under 20 World Cup this year- Freddy Adu is playing so well so far. Let's hope he just keeps it up!

Just to leave you with a little of something actually worth reading, here is. something that describes how to determine how many notches are on a girls belt (because this is a question we all ask ourselves much more than how many are on a man's). Also, if you enjoy this, you should check out his archived blog on Bad Game vs. Good Game.

If none of this interests you, watch this kid play the solo to Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven"

Kwik-E-Mart

Several 7-11's have turned into Kwik-E-Marts to promote the upcoming Simpsons movie.

Look at these pictures.

I am pretty excited because as you can see in the photos they all are stocked with Buzz cola and donuts with pink icing and sprinkles! I might have to stock up....

My phone can breathe underwater

This past weekend my Friends Angelica and Julianna decided to throw a housewarming/cowboys and indians party. Normally I am lame and don't participate, but for some reason Weston, Adam, and I decided to buy the materials and make the best costumes of the night...

Somewhere between the loincloth, random leather straps, bows and arrows, beer, and cowgirls - Larissa, Weston, Adam, and myself ended up in Weston's pool at 3am. Normally this is all I ask for, but I guess I forgot that I had my phone tucked safely away in my briefs Adam convinced me to buy, and my phone ended up in the pool. All night. That would be about 8-9 hours of water soaking in every crevace of my phone, shorting it out permenantly.

Or so I thought.

Thanks to Adam holding the phone out of the window while we drove around, Ashlie's pink Barbie blow dryer, and me waiting 24 hours to turn it on - the PHONE STILL WORKED. What are the chances?!!

The moral of this story is: If you are getting in the pool after a party - make sure everyone is either wearing white or nothing at all....and make sure to bring my phone with you - because it can breathe underwater. Thank you Motorola V551...you are a badass.

Tomorrow is July 4th - so we are going out tonight! Any day you don't have to work is a good day.
