Halo 3 is absolutely amazing! Minus the fact that I (apaprently) have a "NAT" server (which apparently wasn't a problem while playing Halo 2 online) - I somehow got around it with the help of the ever-so technical genius of Paul and played a solid 4 hours of Halo 3 last night with some good buddies of mine.
We experienced the mutli-player campaign option that by far lived up to the hype (and was fantastic because you feel like you are sitting on the couch playing the actual game with your old friends), and also the multi-player option..which we got killed at because most people stayed home all day playing/mastering the game.
The controls are very different (you load each weapon alone, rather than a group AND the LB and RB buttons are used rather than X to load), and the walking/movement of the game is very different - but this game is amazing. Yes, it will take a little time to get used to it. No, I don't like how the life sheild goes down as fast as a Japanese hooker. Yes, this is probably going to be the best video game of my entire video game career...wow, that is saying a lot.
Either way, I just want to say that if no one hears from me for the next week/month/year, it is because I am in the Halo 3 zone stuck in front of my television set. I don't see this as a bad thing...if anyone needs me, message me on xbox live because I will most definitely not be picking up my phone any time soon (which is fine, because my phone is broken and almost dead anyway).
*please let my internet connection work and not break and almost send me into full cardiac arrest like last night*

September 25, 2007
Ok, so It is Monday September 24th and I am already excited for the (outrageously nerdy) events that will be going down tomorrow on September 25th.
First and foremost, Halo 3 is coming out. I know...I am a dork. BUT deep down, I think everyone is waiting anxiously for Halo 3 to come out. OR maybe I am just remembering how amazing it was in November 2004 waiting outside of Target at 5am with my friend and co-worker Stacey for Halo 2 to come out. We thought we had to get there super early to make sure we would both get a copy (actually, I bought 2 - one for me and one for my roommate Paul) - either way there were at most 15 people there by 8am. Needless to say we were at the front and held down the fort (even though it wasn't needed) and walked out of Target proudly...and late for work. Good times.
Also, for anyone who isn't a dork, the movie "Knocked Up" comes out tomorrow as well. I personally thought this was the best movie of the summer and saw it twice in theaters. I think that the movie really does a good job at setting up hilarious jokes while actually keeping it together and making it seem, at least partially, real. Plus, I find Seth Rogan and Paul Rudd to be an unbeatable combination (ie. 40 year old virgin). If you don't think this sounds funny...you suck. I bet you are the type of person that didn't even flinch when you see Katherine Heigl's vagina (with baby crowning) any of the three times they show it. Gross.
Well, now that I have that great image in my head...
Also, this week (in general) is amazing because it marks the beginning of all the fall shows airing new episodes. Tonight will be "Heroes" and "How I Met Your Mother"; tomorrow is "The Unit" "Boston Legal" and "House"; Wednesday is that new Grey's spinoff called "Private Practice"; Thursday is "Grey's Anatomy" and "The Office"; and Friday is "Las Vegas" - now, I know most of you cringed on that last one, but after watching (seriously) 14 hours of this show this weekend I can safely say it is amazing. Plus, there are some beautiful people on that show. If you don't believe me - look up Vanessa Marcil...then watch the show.
Ok, I just read that list of tv shows and realize that I watch far too much tv. I am going to go read a book or play guitar so I feel a little less lazy/more intelligent.
Enjoy this video clip to help get you through your Monday! *Note: They took down my Chocolate Rain remix video by John Mayer and Sherrod Harris - I am sad*
Kanye always loses (I really just like when Rainn goes off at the end)

Why must Yom Kippur fall on a football game day?
Last night marked the beginning of Yom Kippur, and even though I have never participated, I can imagine how absolutely hard it can be to go a full 24 hours without eating/showering/everything else that is involved.
Because it is such a hard day, I have decided to post a few pics that I foun on Kassy K's blog for all my Jew friends....kind of pointless being that they are supposed to not be doing anything that doesn't atone to God, but that is pretty rough. Not to mention, if Arjewtino can watch Netflix DVD's, then this should be fine...To make it seem educational, I will label the different types of hotness that will be found in each picture.
Also, big shot out to all my Muslim friends (and Hakeen Olajuwon) - I never realized how hard Ramadan was. I remember back in 94 and 95 when I was watching my Clutch City Rockets playing and seeing Hakeem exhausted and thinking "Wow, that must be hard...but possible if Hakeem can do this." I was an idiot. Pretty sure I couldn't do that if my life depended on it. Look here to see who has it worse, Jews or Muslims while fasting.
Enjoy these pics everyone...remember to eat a LOT tonight! Oh, and someone find me a Shiksa. Please!
Foreign hot

Rehab/pre-cocaine hot

Blonde bombshell/supermodel hot

Fantasy/hope they are lesbians that also want to have a threesome hot

Gorgeous (but watch out - she is a cheater) hot

I thought this would be better...but it isn't.
Ok, so now that I have gotten some sleep and decided that going downtown tonight is the worst idea ever - I can give a real update.
Ok, so since my last real *post* I have started a new job. I have worked there one month and I have realized that it isn't as bad as I thought it would be...For instance:
1. I DO get free cokes still! If you have ever had this perk at a job, don't take it for granted. The only reason I am getting free drinks is because they are all left over from a program we are running, and when they are gone I might actually have to buy drinks on my own! *gasp* I know....but for now, it is all good.
2. I look good all dressed up at work! I am not trying to boost my ego or anything either, people tell me this every single day (especially yesterday). At the old job I would rock my UT soccer jacket (thank you, Chuy) every single day...maybe I should have stepped up the wardrobe a while ago.
3. I have gotten over the whole "don't go on the blog/myspace/facebook at the new job" feeling. Thank GOD for that! I am back to the old ritual of checking my websites every hour (as opposed to checking every 5 minutes) - so I don't feel as awkward as I did in the beginning.
4. I get free swag all day long! I mean, catered lunches, treats, flash drives, etc - *if you know me, you know that I LOVE free stuff!!!*
5. I am back on campus. Feels pretty good since I basically still live like I am in college anyways.
but I do miss my old work friends - but thanks to all aforementioned websites, I can stay in touch with them all I want....and they will probably like me better this way because they can have breaks from me being loud and crazy.
I am starting to think this post was also pointless...maybe you should go read DJ Emils blog (big shot out to 5208 Ave H crew!)
I promise these will get better, folks...I just have a lot to do.

ACL 2007/I am back...
Ok, Kids...I figured out that if I login through another profiles comments section, it will let me post - so here it goes.
ACL (Austin City Limits) Festival was this weekend! It was simply amazing! Even though there weren't as many great bands this year as there have been in the past (A big thank you goes out to the White Stripes for cancelling 3 days before the festival started), the great vibes were still there. I love being outside for 3 straight days with 60,000 of my closest friends. This picture was taken at around 5pm, before the full amount of people were in the park (and take in mind that this is only one stage-worth of people:

Gotta love it!
My favorite band by far were The Killers! They played an amazing set Friday night that was (apparently) one of their best live shows ever. Other bands I saw were Spoon, Young Love, Sound Team (in their final show as a band, ever), MIA, Sound Tribe Sector 9, Augustana, Stephen Marley, Arctic Monkeys, Zap Mama, Arcade Fire, Back Door Slam, Ben Kweller, Common, Bloc Party, My Morning Jacket, The Decemberists, and Bob Dylan.
Not bad for one weekend!
The 2 artists that I hadn't heard of before this weekend were: MIA and Back Door Slam and they both blew my mind! MIA was crazy rap beats driven by crowd surfing and invites to 200 people to join her on stage. Back Door Slam was a 20-something who played and sang like SRV...so basically I am saying go pick up their albums NOW. You probably haven't heard of them, but you need to. Seriously.
There were even a few shows I wanted to see that I missed, including: The Cold War Kids, Regina Spektor, Wilco, Peter Bjorn and John, and Queens of the Stone Age. I know you can't see everyone, but there are some huge names in this list and I am pretty upset that I didn't even catch part of these artists.
I did, however, get to run into Marcie, my old roommate Emily (if only for a second - but it was still really nice to see her), and the million people staying in my apt for the weekend - who were all amazing/hilarious/wasted. I didn't get to see Joe (the other old roomie), Kendra, or Talon - who were all in from out of town. What can I say - I get exhausted and have to sleep at night after 10 hours of standing up/not eating much/not drinking enough water!
Ok, so I am tired and need to get my thoughts in order for a real post -*I added about 20 pictures just now, but the viewing area isn't large enough and they are all getting cut off, so maybe next time I will be able to show you all my pictures*

I hate you Blogger. Love, David
I just want everyone to know that I am trying to fix the problem with blogger not allowing my IP address to log in from my computer at home. I have a lot to write about: new job, ACL is this weekend, George Washington, The fact that I killed a man in Reno...you get the point.
So, if anyone knows a quick fix to this (apparently) normal problem with blogger, let me know. If I can't fix it by next week I am just going to move to another address.
Until I get this problem fixed - watch this video...it cracks me up and I have watched it about 5 times so far today. Enjoy!
