I don't know about you, but I am so excited and ready for the new fall TV lineup! I know I watch a lot of tv normally, but after the most recent writer's strike affecting all of my favorite TV shows last year, I am in need of some serious TV time!
I have decided that, rather than trying to explain in detail how much of a TV junkee I am, that I would list a majority of the TV shows and the dates they will be starting back up again.* I will not include "One Tree Hill", "Gossip Girl:, or the new "90210" being that they already started earlier this week. Also, "The Sheild" started on the second, and I hear it is supposed to be a great season (because it is the final one).
Whether you like all these shows or just a few, make sure to set your DVR's now so you don't miss out!
Sunday, September 7thEntourage(HBO)- I love Entourage, but last season was boring. I want to see more money getting thrown around! Also, Arie gets high in one episode this season when the boys think he needs to loosen up.
Tuesday, September 16thHouse(FOX)- This show is amazing, and ended with the hint of Wilson's future departure. I love this show, but without Cameron, Chase, Foreman AND Wilson it probably won't last much longer.
Thursday, September 18thIt's Always Sunny in Philadlphia (FX)-This show is always hilarious, so definitely don't miss the premiere!
Monday, September 22ndBoston Legal(ABC) - This is the final season for Denny Crane, so I am sure they will pull out all the stops. Maybe he will finally be sent to jail for something....but I doubt it.
How I Met Your Mother(CBS)- Barney will go deeper into his feelings for Robin and Ted will get an answer from Stella about his marriage proposal.
Heroes(NBC) - If you haven't heard anything about this new season, I suggest you read up! It is called "Heroes - Villians" because any hero can become a villian and vice versa. I am most excited for this show!
Thursday, September 25thER(NBC)- This show is coming to an end this season after 15 long seasons. Apparently Noah Wyle is coming back too. Thursday just has too much good TV to waste on ER these days...
Ugly Betty(ABC)- All I know is that Lindsey Lohan will be back on the show this season...you can take that as either a good or bad sign for things to come.
The Office(NBC)- Everyone has been waiting for this all summer! I want to know what happens to Jim and Pam....and there is no way Angela will marry Andy, right? I would like to see a little more Dwight/Jim humor like the old days...
Grey's Anatomy(ABC)- Grey's picks up where it left off with Meredith living with Derek and Alex and Izzie hooking up. Let's just hope that is isn't as boring as the past two seasons!
Sunday, September 28thThe Simpsons(FOX)- You have to give them credit. This will be their 20th season!
Desperate Housewives(ABC)- This season starts ater a 5 year flash forward into the lives of all the characters. I am not so interested in seeing what happened to a boring show 5 years later. Are you?
Dexter(Showtime)- This season, Dexter will kill an innocent person, causing everything around him to change dramatically.
Family Guy(FOX)- Seth McFarlane parodies "The Empire Strikes Back" this season, and if it is anything like the one from last season, I will be on the floor laughing 5 minutes into the episode.
Brother's and Sister's(ABC)- Justin finally hooked up with his "sister" Rebecca, and I would have too. He will be outed to the family early on in the season.
Californication(Showtime)- If you like music, nudity, or a strange mix of both you would love this show! Last season ended with Karen and Hank driving away from Karen's wedding together, and I have to know what happened. One of the best last 5 minutes of a finale I saw last season.
The Unit(CBS)- This is a horrible timeslot change for this show from Tuesday (when not much else is on). More of the same old story lines they keep repeating...I doubt this show will last long in competition with all the other great shows on Sunday.
Monday, September 29thChuck(NBC)- Somehow Chuck will die this season... twice. Not sure how realistic that sounds, but this show is entertaining! Monday is also not a good day for somewhat ok shows to be placed on and then get drowned out by other greats like Heroes.
Wednesday, October 1Private Practice(ABC)- This show is pretty boring but not much else is on TV on Wednesdays. The writer's even said they sucked last year, but also say it will get better.
Dirty Sexy Money(ABC)- Great title! Lucy Liu will be joining the cast this season because her other (horrible) show, "Cashmere Mafia" was cancelled.
Thursday, October 9thCSI(CBS)- William Peterson is leaving the series, and I am not sure if they can make it without him.
I am most excited for House, Entourage, HIMYM, Heroes, The Office, and Californication. If you take even half the shows listed, then add college and NFL football, you have an example of a normal week of my TV watching.Shows that won't be returning this fall[Scrubs](CBS) - season won't be returning until January, sadly.
Lost(ABC)- January 31, 2009. I loved this season until they started doing these LONG breaks between or in the middle of each season!
24(FOX)- Late 2009. This show better be amazing after skipping an entire season due to the writer's strike!
Flight of the Conchords(HBO)- January 2009. I am most upset about this! I will miss FOTC right after Entourage!

Note: I might not actually watch ALL the shows listed... I will watch the majority, but some are shows that are known to be popular and thus relevant to this topc.
