I still haven't uploaded any SXSW pictures to my computer. I know, I am lazy, but I think my body is still recuperating from the awesomeness that was SXSW this year.
I definitely didn't meet my goal of drinking more than 45 free drinks this year, but it definitely wasn't because there wasn't enough free booze! I was so much more content with trying to catch major bands and meet up with friends, that somehow getting completely plastered fell by the wayside. Don't get me wrong, I was drunk a few times each day, but it was more of a "chill" drunk where I could still hold a conversation and listen to bands.
And no, I didn't make it to the Playboy party to see Jane's Addiction, or to the Perez Hilton party to see Kanye, Little Boots (I saw her earlier in the week), or Ladyhawke. Although, I honestly don't think I would've had enough energy to do these night parties along with all the day events I went to.
However, if you want to check out a SXSW recap that includes tons of pictures and video, head over to Ultra8201. Not only is it by far the best SXSW recap I have seen, these guys rock. I met Richard at SXSW and he is a bad ass to say the least.
If you want a more verbose review, check out Pitfork's review, which starts off with a great review of the Kanye set at Fader Fort on Saturday night and goes backwards through the festival.
Also, since I was with Chuy most of the time (which always means I had a great time), check out his review of his best moments of SXSW 2009.
Last, but certainly not least, is B's review for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Not only was I with her the entire time, but her camera is much better than mine - so this is pretty much what my SXSW review would have looked like if I wasn't so lazy. Plus, I am pretty sure I took some of those shots...

i was thinking about that the other day. i really didnt drink THAT much. i guess we were a lil afraid of bumping into those massive bathroom lines and then pissing ourselves.
p.s. and by i didnt drink THAT much i meant, i didnt get too drunk. just happy drunk. not blastered pukin over my guts drunk. like last yr when i missed all those friday shows with u and drew cause i was recuperating
It WAS because those bathroom lines were so long! Also, it was St. Patty's on Saturday last year, so that was a big reason for getting so wasted.
Correction: We celebrated SXSW on St. Patty's on Saturday last year BECAUSE we had all that free booze. Then we celebrated on the actual day (Monday) at a pub
